Boston Bombings: The Fundamental Change In America

Seeing the horrendous bombings at the Boston Marathon yesterday (an act of "terrorism" per latest from president Obama), I am reminded of the prophetic words of Amos:

"Therefore, this is what the Lord, the LORD God Almighty, says: 'There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square.  The workers will be summoned to weep and the mourners to wail.  There will be wailing in your economic centers, for I will pass through its street says the LORD.  You've been claiming you know and worship me. Listen, I hate, I despise your religious gatherings, away with your worship songs which is nothing but a performance for your own entertainment.  For what good are you, whether you are religious or not, if you do not do anything right according to my righteousness?  Do something right about the injustices being done before your very eyes, let justice proceed unhindered like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream" (Amos 5:15-27, paraphrase).

This is not to say that the Boston bombings is God's act, but that He knows what evil people will naturally and eventually do out of their hatred for righteousness. But here's what I am certain of, God hates sin with the same passion yesterday, today and forever, and in the end His righteous justice will prevail. So let those who truly worship God stand along with Him in condemning the injustices and immorality in our society today.  Foremost in mind are the gay marriages that just goes against the Word of God, and the deaths of helpless babies aborted by the thousands a year, being killed right from the moment their heart starts to beat and even after they were born alive. As of this writing, a court trial is ongoing against Kermit Gosnell who aborts 1,000 babies a year, charged with killing 7 babies after they were born alive!  This is plain murder and nothing but the works of a demon, and what do president Obama say about it?  Nothing! This nation is changing indeed, descending into chaos and immorality. Therefore, all who love America ought to condemn it.

Now, if you are asking, "what is wrong with America?" after yesterday's Boston bombings, wonder no more for America has indeed changed, for the worse.
