What Must Happen Will Happen

At these times of uncertainty, with the country now more divided than ever before, sometimes a little change in perspective is just what we need. To discern the will of God will help us attain the peace to carry on. For the transcendent God, whether you believe in Him or not, has set the course of human history, so that what must happen will happen.

I invite you to read these words of prophecy by John, and discern that man's course has already been set all along. And him that is evil, though he may win a momentary battle, shall never prosper forever. Listen now and discern the familiar:

"The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against him?"

Who indeed can stand up to him?

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them (cf. Rev. 13).

The spiritual battle may be over, but the war is not yet through. This calls for patience and endurance for all who believe.
