Cypress Point

Not all of the Monterey Peninsula consists of white, coarse sand beaches and low headlands and golf courses. Cypress Point is high ground, perched between Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach.  It's still granite, eroded into rounded knobs and weathered into a variety of colors.  If not for the kelp bed in the background, it could have been Joshua Tree (California) or Vedauwoo (Wyoming).
